God Has Not Given Us A Spirit Of Fear
Recently, some persecution and trials of a very close co-laborer and brother of mine have affected me in sort of an indirect way. Many people that know him and his situation are becoming fearful that the same persecution might befall them or others. Many are advising me to slow down and be more cautious in what God has called me to do. What I know is this: When Peter and John were arrested, warned, and released in Acts 4, they, along with the other believers, prayed for more boldness, more healings, and more signs and wonders to be performed in the name of Jesus! Then, God shook the place where they were and "they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the word of God with great boldness." (v.31) When we are faced with persecution, when we are attacked, we shouldn't draw back in fear but pray for strength and go on the offensive as Peter, John, and the others did.
