Fire

Love and mercy and righteousness are HIS, and holiness so ineffable that no comparisons or figures will avail to express it. Only fire can give even a remote conception of it. In fire He appeared at the burning bush; in the pillar of fire He dwelt through all the long wilderness journey. The fire that glowed between the wings of the cherubim in the Holy Place was called the Shekinah, the Presence, through the years of Israel's glory, and when the Old had given place to the New, He came at Pentecost as a fiery flame and rested upon each disciple." A word from May 6

Don't be so hard on yourself. I can bring good even out of your mistakes. Your finite mind tends to look backward, longing to undo decisions you have come to regret! This is a waste of time and energy, leading only to frustration. Instead of floundering in the past, release your mistakes to me. Look to me in trust, anticipating that My infinite creativity can weave both good choices and bad choices into a lovely design.

Because you are human, you will continue to make mistakes. Thinking that you should live an error-free life is symptomatic of pride. Your failures can be source of blessing, humbling you and giving you empathy for other people in their weaknesses. Best of all, failure highlights your dependence on Me. I am able to bring beauty out of the morass of your mistakes. Trust me, and watch to see what I will do.

The Drowning Cry--Leonard Ravenhill

"Could a mariner sit idle if he heard the drowning cry? Could a doctor sit in comfort and just let his patients die? Could a fireman sit idle, let men burn and give no hand? Can you sit at ease in Zion with the world around you damned?"

Good Word--September 2009

We had a wonderful, encouraging summer filled with great teaching from our leaders at Iris and our home church. God gave me this verse today and it really spoke to me:

"Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith." Hebrews 13:7

Prophetic Words August 21, 2009

For Me: Wisdom. Every new white hair=new wisdom. Impartation of the gift of wisdom. Provision. Put a demand on the prophetic. Heart of the Father. Transparency. Nothing to hide. Nothing for your family to hide. Silver tongue--brings restoration. Orchestra leader. Easy to know how to direct people because you are close to Him. You will be making leaders. Move closer and closer to God's heart.

For Tammy: Leader for God. Called to speak. Lay down so He can speak through your heart. Lay hands on others so they can speak for God too. New revelation. New message from the depths of God. Mother of many. Mother's heart. Don't fear. Give children to God. Jesus is the babysitter! Your mother would be pleased!

For both of us: Big, strong angels are standing on our walls. Provision. Money, money, money. Stay a united front. Nothing comes in between. Put on the full armor of God daily. Nothing can come between you two as you run together. Like facing each other on a treadmill. Life to emanate. Increase connection with God and each other. Heal the sick raise the dead! Blind eyes opened! They will LISTEN!

Amen! "...do not despise prophetic utterances" 1 Thess. 5:20

FIRE!

A fire technician knows that fire doesn't actually have to touch something to make it catch on fire. If an object is near to a very hot fire, it will ignite at distances up to 100 feet. This is how some very hot forest fires sometimes jump roads, highways, and firelines.

God, I want to be so hot on fire for You that others around me catch on fire! AMEN!

A Thousand Times I've Failed.....

"A thousand times I've failed,
still Your mercy remains.
Should I stumble again,
I'm caught in Your Grace.
Everlasting Your light will shine when all else fades.
Neverending Your glory goes beyond all fame." Joel Houston "From the Inside Out"

Now, Lord, Consider Their Threats

VOM-USA Prayer Update for June 19, 2009
From The Voice of the Martyrs - USA
NEPAL - Extremists’ Warn Believers – VOM Sources

UPDATE: On June 10, The Voice of the Martyrs received a copy of a letter from the Nepal Defense Fund (NDF), threatening to bomb 10 Christian homes in Nepal, if believers did not leave in 30 days, according to The Voice of the Martyrs contacts. The letter written by R.P. Mainali, the supreme commander of the NDF, published in a local newspaper, said the Nepalese government should not have released 62 Christians, in 1989 and 1990, who had been jailed for actively proselytising. The letter warned that these Christians, who have continued their work, were threatening Hinduism. “We are giving these unholy elements who are grabbing the authority of the people of the country under the cloak of religion, a notice of one month to leave the country, otherwise we will explode 10 bombs in the homes of 10 Christians in Nepal, for which we take responsibility in advance,” the NDP letter said. The Voice of the Martyrs encourages you to pray for believers in Nepal who are living under these threats. Ask God to protect them and for their courageous testimony to draw non believers into fellowship with Christ.

"'Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak Your word with great boldness. Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of Your Holy Servant Jesus.'
After they had prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly." Acts 4:29-31

Calling Lost Sons and Daughters

"And for all the sons and daughters
Who are walking in the darkness
You are calling us to lead them back to You
We will see Your spirit rising
As the lost come out of hiding
Every heart will see this hope we have in You"
Hillsong UNITED "Tear Down the Walls"

There is not a more honorable, higher calling than to lead those walking in darkness back to the loving arms of their Daddy God.

"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16:15

A wife of noble character, who can find?

The answer to that question is "me". I just spent an amazing two days with my best friend, my wife. She is, to say the least, a true princess of the Kingdom of Heaven. Nobility in the highest regard. A more loving mother, you will not find. A more loving, devoted, submitted wife doesn't exist. What I ever did to deserve this wonderful gift from God Himself, I'll never know. His grace and favor are more than I could ever ask for or even imagine!
"A wife of noble character, who can find? She is worth far more than rubies." Proverbs 31:10

Joy

Our above and beyond GOOD God wants the absolute best for us!

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

My wife and I went to the orphanage in the country where we live to visit and hold the children for a couple of hours in the afternoon and, as we were there, it started raining. On our way out, my wife slipped on some concrete steps and fell hard on her elbow, back, and left heel. Because of her fall and also because it was raining, we decided that she should take a taxi back home and I would go alone on our now infamous scooter. She arrived home a bit bruised but safe. Since it was raining, I was driving very cautiously on the scooter. I was going down a hill at about 25km/hr (16mph) when a 13 year-old local boy, without looking, walked right out in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and swerved very sharply to the left trying to avoid him. Because the road was wet and the scooter had turned so sharp, my body flew off the scooter and into the boy. My shoulder hit him on his side and he crashed to the road, his forehead slamming into the pavement. When I got up and got to him, he was not fully conscious. His eyes were rolling back into his head and his breathing was convulsive and he had a large bump on his forehead. I immediately laid my hands on him and started to pray. Within seconds, a police car arrived and I carried the boy into the back seat and off we went to the hospital. On the way to the hospital, he was not improving but I continued to fervently pray. We arrived at the hospital and I carried him inside. By now, his convulsive breathing had calmed down and he seemed much more stable than before. God was at work! The doctors looked him over and asked him some questions that he didn’t respond to so they told us that we had to go to a bigger hospital via this small hospital’s ambulance. When we arrived at the bigger hospital, one doctor began examining him and he was beginning to give responses to their questions and complaining of head and elbow pain. After continual improvement in his responsiveness and an elbow x-ray, he finally could remember his phone number and we got in touch with his parents so they came to the hospital. By the time they arrived, the boy was clearly answering questions and the pain in his head had subsided due to the pain medications that they had given him. The x-ray came back with a small fracture on his elbow, but miraculously, when the doctor came and physically checked it, there was no pain and no swelling so they said that there was no way that the arm could be broken! After about 6 hours at the hospital, they released him to go home with instructions to watch for head injury complications. I tried to get them to give him a ct scan and keep him overnight but was not successful. I saw him this evening and he is doing much better. Praise the Lord! What a miracle! I will take him to see the doctor tomorrow…

“What was meant for bad, God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Gen. 50:20

This is the verse that God gave me last night at home as I was praying. I believe that God has a huge plan for this boy’s life. He is a Hindu but he is going to a Christian school and is hearing the truth every day. I fully believe that he will be used by God to lead many here in this nation to salvation in Jesus....the saving of many lives!

The next day...

Just a short update on the accident situation…I have had some great times with the boy that I hit on the road on Friday. He goes to a Christian school here but told me at the hospital on Friday that he was a Hindu. We were talking yesterday and I asked him what he thought about Jesus. He replied, “ I don’t know about my mother and father, but, for me, I think Jesus is the right way.” Wow! I then started talking to him about his village which is in one of the most remote places on earth and said that I would like to visit there with him sometime. He then said, “I have always thought of making a church in my village.” Wow again! God indeed has a wonderful plan in this whole situation and it is impossible for Him to not work everything out for the best for those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose according to Romans 8:28. Beauty for ashes!

Let Your people return to You.
Let the source of my life be You.
Let me burn for You.

Let me burn with praise!" Jeff Deyo, "Let Me Burn"

True Fasting

"Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke? Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house." Isaiah 58:6-7

My Birthday 2009

April 24, 2009: I was feeling horrible as I had been in bed all day with a nasty head/chest cold. To add to that, my elbow had become infected from a scooter accident a week earlier and my whole arm was red, hot, and swollen to 2-3 times its normal size. Everything in the natural was stealing my joy. But, in the midst of this attack from the enemy, our loving, good God had a lesson to teach me. That night, being a Friday, we had our normal time of weekly "soaking" in the Lord's presence at our house. I barely made my way downstairs to start the meeting. Two of our friends were also there but had to leave early. One of these friends had brought a birthday card from some good friends of mine in Qatar and it had the verse from Philippians 4:4- "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!" The act of kindness of sending a card with that verse coupled with the natural condition I was in, spoke directly to my heart. I could feel the Joy of the Lord rising in my soul as God was telling me that my natural state had nothing to do with feeling and experiencing His joy. My wife felt led to read the testimony of Charles Finney to start the meeting which made the joy that was rising increase even more. We then prayed for a short time and I started the music. Our two friends had left so it was just me and my wife worshipping and soaking in the presence of God. Every word of every song seemed to be coming directly from my heart to God. I spent the next two hours on the floor loudly weeping/laughing/singing (most of the time all at once). About halfway though the playlist, I had to go to the bathroom very badly but I didn't want to get up because I didn't want to do anything to stop what was happening. But, I had to go so bad that I asked my wife to help me up. Even with her help, it was almost impossible for me to stand. I staggered to the bathroom and went back to worship and, to my delight, nothing had changed! Our four kids came downstairs for the last 4-5 songs and, at first, didn't understand what was happening to me. My youngest daughter came up to me and started wiping away my tears. She started crying and said, "Daddy, make it stop." All I could tell her was that God was making me so happy that I didn't want it to stop. What an amazing birthday gift that our wonderful Jesus had for me! Be encouraged! The Joy of the Lord does not depend on the circumstances of your life! You can experience His joy no matter what is happening to you in the natural. He will prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies!

Jesus is My Everything

"He (Jesus) is the Life that I want to live.
He is the Light that I want to radiate.
He is the Love with which I want to love.
He is the Joy that I want to share.
He is the Peace that I want to sow.
Jesus is everything to me.
Without Him, I can do nothing."
Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"I grew up in Sunday school, memorized the Golden Rule
and how Jesus came to set the sinner free.
I know the story inside out
I can tell you all about the path that led Him up to Calvary.
But ask me why He loves me and I don't know what to say,
I never be the same because,
He changed my life when He became...
Everything to me,
More than a story,
More than words on a page of history.
He's the air that I breathe,
The water I thirst for,
And the ground beneath my feet...
He's everything, everything to me."

Woe is me, for I am undone!

"Woe is me, for I am undone!" Isa. 6:5

The prophet Isaiah was undone in the presence of the Lord. The Hebrew word used for "undone" in this verse is 'damah' which is defined in Strong's dictionary as: "to cease, to rest, to be silent, to be quiet, to be destroyed, to be cut off, to perish. This verb depicts a violent end."

"Your love, it overtakes me
And makes me who I am
As I am undone
In the light of Your glory" Jeff Deyo "Unveil"

Father, undo me! Undo me in Your holy presence! Undo me with Your infinite love. May I cease, rest, be silent, and be quiet so that Your Holy Spirit can speak and work through me. Destroy, cut off, and kill any part of my flesh that still exists so I can be fully filled and live completely for You!

"This bride will give up the selfish riches of this world to inherit the earth. She will be so ruined and wrecked by love that she will run full force into the darkness. This will cause His light through her to explode into the world--all for love's sake." Heidi Baker, Shara Pradhan "Compelled by Love"

Fire

When we sing 'fire fall down', we are not calling on the fire of God's judgement that James and John wanted to call down on the Samaritan village in Luke chapter 9. Jesus rebuked them for that. He came to save not to destroy. We are asking for the Holy Spirit fire that was upon the disciples at Pentecost...the fire John the Baptist said that Jesus would baptize with!

Show me what you are doing, Father.

"Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these." John 5:19-20 NIV

Ephesians 1:15:23 NAS

For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

May this prayer be answered in my life today. That I will KNOW the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of my inheritance in Him, and the surpassing greatness of His power!

Teresa of Calcutta's Call

"On September 10, 1946, during a train ride from Calcutta to Darjeeling, Mother Teresa received 'an inspiration,' which she later described as a 'call within a call.' Jesus' thirst for love and for souls became so distinctively clear that from then on an ardent longing to satiate His thirst took complete possession of her heart. By means of interior locutions and visions, Jesus revealed to her the desire of His heart for 'victims of love' who would 'radiate His love on souls.' He revealed His pain at the way the poor were neglected, His sorrow at their ignorance of Him, and His longing--His thirst--for their love. He pleaded with her: 'My little one--come--come--carry Me into the holes of the poor.--Come be My light.--I cannot go alone--they don't know Me--so they don't want Me. You come--go amongst them, carry Me with you into them.--How I long to enter their holes--their dark unhappy homes.'" Fr. Brian Kolodiejchuk, Ed., "Jesus is My All and All"

Lord, may I be a 'victim of Your love' that 'radiates' that love in the 'holes of the poor' and unloved.

Free Choice

"The nature of love is that it requires us to be able to choose. If God took away our choice, people could only behave in the way that God programmed them to. Wars would cease, hunger would end, and poverty would only be an ancient memory. But the desperate cry of the human heart that beats with passion for a loving relationship with the most beautiful Being in the entire universe would be gone too." Kris Vallotton

Less than I was meant to be...

I wish I was more of a man

Have you ever felt that way

And if I had to tell you the truth

I'm afraid I'd have to say

That after all I've done and failed to do

I feel like less than I was meant to be

What if I could fix myself

Maybe then I could get free

I could try to be somebody else

Who's much better off than me

But I need to remember this

That it's when I'm at my weakest

I can clearly see

He made the lame walk and the dumb talk

And He opened blinded eyes to see

That the sun rises on His time

Yet He knows our deepest desperate need

And the world waits while His heart aches

To realize the dream

I wonder what life would be like if we let Jesus live through you and me.
Big Daddy Weave, "What Life Would Be Like"

A few days ago, I passed by Jesus on the road and didn't stop. It was about 5 degrees F on a snow covered road, and there He was walking against traffic on crutches
because He was missing one leg in a very rural area in Northern California. Of course, as I passed Him by, I did my best to justify why I couldn't stop even though, less than one mile farther down the road, I stopped to look at two big bucks and some coyotes! This is just confirmation that I am lacking in the love and compassion of Jesus. Please forgive me, Lord, for not stopping for the "least of these". If my job is to love, I have failed. Fill me with Your love and compassion for humanity and open my eyes to see people the way that You do. Give me the strength and courage to say "yes" to You everytime and to allow You to live through me. Amen

King of Wonders

"King of wonders, we stand amazed,
There's no other, other than You.
King of wonders, You know the way to our hearts and
The more we see the more we love You."
Matt Redmond

Give me Your eyes, Lord!

"Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me Your love for humanity
Give me Your arms for the broken hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me Your eyes so I can see"
"Give Me Your Eyes"
Brandon Heath

Everything comes down to love...

"If everything comes down to love,
then just what am I afraid of?
When I call out Your name,
something inside awakes in my soul.
How quickly I forget, I am Yours.
I am not my own
I've been carried by You,
all my life..."

More Love

When we cry out to God for more love, we are not asking God to give us more of His amazing love. That would be impossible. He is already loving us to the fullest extent and that will never change. The lacking is not from His side. His love is always there, always available, and always the same. What we are actually praying is for Him to increase our capacity to know, experience, receive, and give more of His love.

Without the Holy Spirit

Faith without the Holy Spirit is religion. Faithfully following doctrine without the Holy Spirit can only lead to dead, Pharisaical legalism.

Father, fill us daily with Your Holy Spirit to comfort us, guide us, and lead us into all truth.

Show Me How To Love

"Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me

Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your Kingdom's cause
As I go from earth into
Eternity"

More Love!

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing." 1 Cor. 13:1-3

Help me to love like You do, Lord!

It Feels Like Chaos, But Somehow There's Peace...

"Whatever You're Doing"
Sanctus Real

It's time for healing time to move on
It's time to fix what's been broken too long
Time make right what has been wrong
It's time to find my way to where I belong
There's a wave that's crashing over me
All I can do is surrender

(Chorus)
Whatever you're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos somehow there's peace
It's hard to surrender to what I can't see
but I'm giving in to something heavenly

Time for a milestone
Time to begin again
Revaluate who I really am
Am I doing everything to follow your will
or just climbing aimlessly over these hills
So show me what it is you want from me
I give everything I surrender...
To...

(Chorus)

Time to face up
Clean this old house
Time to breathe in and let everything out
That I've wanted to say for so many years
Time to to release all my held back tears

Whatever you're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos but I believe
You're up to something bigger than me
Larger than life something heavenly

Whatever you're doing inside of me
It feels like chaos but now I can see
This something bigger than me
Larger than life something heavenly
Something heavenly

It's time to face up
Clean this old house
Time breathe in and let everything out

Persecution

Because of what God has called me to do here, my family and I are now facing persecution and may have to leave the country. Some discouraging people are telling me basically, "We told you so" and "It was only a matter of time"....One thing I do know is this: I would rather be deported for boldly sharing the gospel rather than stay here for 20 years and do nothing out of fear....I have been greatly encouraged by the few who have committed to giving their whole lives to continuing the work that God has started here no matter what the cost.... even if we are able to stay or not. I praise you Lord for not allowing me to get comfortable!!!!

God Has Not Given Us A Spirit Of Fear

Recently, some persecution and trials of a very close co-laborer and brother of mine have affected me in sort of an indirect way. Many people that know him and his situation are becoming fearful that the same persecution might befall them or others. Many are advising me to slow down and be more cautious in what God has called me to do. What I know is this: When Peter and John were arrested, warned, and released in Acts 4, they, along with the other believers, prayed for more boldness, more healings, and more signs and wonders to be performed in the name of Jesus! Then, God shook the place where they were and "they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak the word of God with great boldness." (v.31) When we are faced with persecution, when we are attacked, we shouldn't draw back in fear but pray for strength and go on the offensive as Peter, John, and the others did.

More Faith!

"Surely, the LORD was in this place, and I did not know it." Gen. 28:16

"We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are." Num. 13:31

"When the Israelites saw the man, they all ran from him with great fear." 1Sam. 17:24

Lord, increase our faith! We rebuke the spirit of not being constantly aware of Your presence, the spirit of the spies who thought You weren't big enough, and the spirit of the Israeli army who shook in fear at the sight of Goliath. We want to be like Caleb, Joshua, and David...men full of faith. Giant killers!

He IS!

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who IS, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Rev. 1:8

"His (Jesus') name is not 'I was', or 'I will be', but 'I AM.'
Rick Joyner

Jesus was and He is coming back. Hallelujah! But, our focus should be on the fact that He IS! He IS right now! He IS our ever present help in time of need! Jesus said that He could only do what He saw the Father doing. Holy Spirit, show us what the Father IS doing today!

Where the Love Lasts Forever

Your mercy found me,
Upon the broken road,
And lifted me beyond my failing,
Into Your glory,
My sin and shame dissolved,
And now forever Yours I’ll stand.

(Pre-Chorus)
In love never to end,
To call You more than Lord,
Glorious friend.

(Chorus)
So I throw my life upon all You are,
‘Cause I know You gave it all for me,
And when all else fades,
My soul will dance with You,
Where the love lasts forever.

(Bridge)
And forever I will sing,
Lord forever I will sing,
Of how You gave Your life away,
Just to save me, Lord You saved me.

With You, where the love lasts forever.

I do not seek fame on the earth. I want to be famous in two places: Heaven and Hell.

Nameless, Faceless Revival

We are on the cusp of the worldwide "nameless, faceless revival" that has been prophesied about multiple times by multiple servants in the past decade. May we all be humble enough to remain "nameless and faceless" so that our Lord Jesus receives ALL of the glory!

A Prayer

Father, forgive me and purge me of all selfish and spiritual pride. Help me to truly think of others more highly than myself. Forbid me, Lord, from ever taking any glory from You. All the credit and glory goes to You for all that You have done in me, for me, and through me. Thank You! Without You I am nothing...With You, I can do all things! More of You, Jesus!

Beholding is Becoming

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." 2Cor. 3:18

"Beholding is becoming, so as You fill my gaze;
I become more like You and my heart is changed.
Beholding is becoming, so as You fill my view;
Transform me, into the likeness of You." Captivated, Vicky Beeching

The Testimony of Jesus

"When John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples to ask him, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?" Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor." Mt. 11:2-5

Glorious

"My eyes are small but they have seen
the beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
there's light enough to see that

You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours"
Everything Glorious
, David Crowder Band

The more signs and wonders of God's love that I am privileged to witness, the more I am convinced that the greatest wonder of His love, at least a million times greater than any other, is what Jesus did on the cross! Glory to the Risen King!

Heidi Baker's Testimony

"Several years ago, the Lord gave me a vision that is mentioned in our first book, There is Always Enough, but I will mention it briefly here. Ever since this day I have been wrecked and ruined by His love. I saw thousands and thousands of hungry children, all begging to be fed. I knew I had the responsibility of feeding them, and it totally overwhelmed me. I remember screaming out in panic and desperation, shouting, 'No, no, no! There are too many!' There was such a multitude of children pressing toward me that it seemed impossible that they could ever be fed by one person. I couldn't understand how on earth it was possible. At that time we cared for around 320 children, and I thought that was a lot.
But then Jesus showed me His face, and that changed everything for me. He gazed at me with eyes of love that pierced my soul. He looked right into me with eyes that were like liquid oil and fire at the same time. He melted my heart. His face was so indescribably glorious, shining and bright, yet I noticed that his body was broken--broken by the suffering He endured for us. And then He said to me, Take this. He reached into His side and took a small piece of His own body and placed it into my hand. Right in my hand in turned into bread. Jesus said to me, Now, give it to them to eat. I began to pass out the bread and every child ate--all those thousands and thousands of hungry mouths. Then Jesus said to me, I died so that there would always be enough." The Kingdom Inheritance of the Poor

The Fruit of True Fasting for The Lord

"Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke? Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light will break out like the dawn, and your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; You will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, and if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday. And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell." Isaiah 58:6-12

These verses are not only speaking about fasting from food. Verses 9-10 (in red above) are fasting from other things. The words in bold are promises of what God will do when we fast in the way he chooses. AWESOME!

Jesus said:
"But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." Mt. 6:17-18

Amazing Expectations

"Then the Lord said: 'I am making a covenant with you. Before all of the people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you.'" Ex. 34:10

This promise has come up again and again and I am claiming it for this nation, for this time.

Violence

Watch this video. What struck me most is the violent, desperate hunger that the young girl shows in returning to Jesus...

Never Be the Same!

"You bought my life with the blood that you shed on the cross.
You died for the sins of men and you let out a cry, crucified, now alive, in me!
These hands are yours, teach them to serve as you please.
As I reach out, desperate to see all the greatness of God may my soul rest assured in You!
I'll never be the same,
I'll never be the same!

'Cause I know that you're alive, you came to fix my broken life.
I'll sing to glorify Your name
Jesus Christ"

Revolution

"You're (Jesus) a revolution, I wanna be revolutionary." David Crowder Band, Revolutionary Love

Spiritually speaking, in the country where I reside, there has be an oppressive regime that has ruled for over 14oo years. God is raising up a platoon of revolutionary lovers of Him in this place to be used for the task of overthrowing that evil regime. With Him as our commander in chief, we fight small battles here and there anxiously awaiting the day when His Spirit falls on this place and all of His enemies are driven into the sea! In faith, our victory is won!

Father, by Your amazing love, continue the revolution within our hearts by overwhelming anything inside of us that is not of You that we, Your children, might fully unite in one heart and one mind to overthrow Your enemies in the spiritual realm once and for all in this place! Amen!

"Jesus is our Savior, there will be no other. We will shout it out. We want the world to know...this is a revolution!" Hillsong United, Revolution
